I’m really excited to share this DIY project that will bring a little glamour to the table (…literally!), and cost you almost nothing! Over the weekend, I, along with several other bridesmaids hosted a bridal shower for my Godsister who is getting married in September. We went with a classic vintage theme of black and white, with pops of silver and pink hues. Because we were working with a tight budget, we opted for decor that we could do ourselves and this is one of my favorites of the day. I love it because you can customize it for any occasion, and supplement any color or theme. Plus, you can use this as an opportunity to utilize the empty wine bottles you have sitting around (and potentially an excuse to buy some more wine as if you need a reason! You’re welcome.) You won’t believe how easy it is!
I recently heard a quote that insanely impacted me and has had the gears in my head turning since: “Admire someone else’s beauty without questioning your own” How powerful is that?! Let’s get real for a sec- we live in a world where everything is subconsciously judged and it’s hard not to internally compare yourself to this person and the next. We are constantly exposed to thousands of highlights in the lives of others; between the outwardly flawless celebrities that we follow on social media, and the “perfect” lifestyles that our own friends seem to maintain, it can be discouraging to find our place in it all.
I definitely do not consider myself a beauty guru. Half the time, I’m lucky to make it out of the house with chapstick on and my hair in a style that takes the term “messy bun” to a whole ‘nother level. However, I do have a few tried and true products that I turn to time and time again, and thought I’d share them with you! These are staples in my routine and are perfect to introduce into your summer beauty regimen.
